Scarlett Johansson set to sign on to new 3-D sci-fi movie
Scarlett Johansson might star in a 3-D sci-fi flick that Angelina Jolie turned down, according to U.S. reports.
The Lost in Translation star has 'verbally agreed' to take the leading-lady role in director Alfonso Cuarón’s upcoming Gravity.
The Children of Men director originally wanted Jolie - but she spurned the role when she found out she would have to share screen time with a leading man, according to celebrity insider Frank DiGiacomo.
Scarlett's Iron-Man 2 co-star Robert Downey Jr. is now tipped to be her co-star in Gravity, too.
DiGiacomo says Cuarón is touting Gravity as 'the most ambitious film, technology-wise, since Avatar.'
The movie will follow the adventures of the female lead as she tries to return home to Earth and her daughter after a space mission goes wrong.
