Good news NBA lovers! An ESPN spokesperson said today that the cable television sports-broadcasting network will televise the 2011 NBA Finals in 3D on its newly launched ESPN 3D channel.
ESPN 3D will broadcast select matches starting February 25th, with the match between Oklahoma City and Orlando at Amway Center facility in Orlando, through June 16 to the finale game.
The first NBA game to be televised on ESPN 3D was the match between Miami Heat and New York Knicks on Dec 17, 2010; and six games since.
FYI, the first ever game to be broadcasted in 3D on ESPN 3D and elsewhere, was the opening match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, between South Africa and Mexico at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg on June 11, 2010.
The now 24-hour 3D channel is expected to telecast more than 100 live events this year.
